All Things Baby!!

I am horrible about keeping up with this blog....I have been soooo busy getting ready for this baby to make her arrival! I went to Walla Walla in the middle of last month and got tons of baby shopping done and lots of visiting with my mom...I was so glad for that! Matt and I finally decided on a name for the baby, Emilee Jade. He really likes it and it is growing on me. Once we got that out of the way I started making stuff with her name on it for her nursery. Here are a few of the things I have gotten done for her...
Bumper pads! The top one is personalized with her name and will go at the head of the crib...(oops about my giant belly making it into the picture :p)
"Hoot" crib quilt before it was quilted
Rocking chair Mom and I recovered

                                                              Diaper Covers Galore!!
Blankies!
Flannel cloth diapers to go inside the covers :)
                                                                       Name Banner
                                                                     Diaper Stacker
Little owl pillow I made today!
I have had so much fun making all her stuff and buying the rest! I took before pictures of the room and as soon as I can get Matt to set up the crib and other things I will take after pictures and post them! I can't wait for her to get here!!! :)

And it is March!!

And I am feeling like a beached whale! Getting close to 31 weeks and I am so ready for this pregnancy to be over! To top it off both Matt and I have been fighting off a nasty virus which went into a sinus infection and made me thankful for a Z-pack! Being hugely pregnant and sick is a seriously sucky combination!
Here I was about 2 weeks ago, and I am even bigger now :(
We are getting ready to make a trip to Walla Walla to visit and buy a new car!!! I am soooo excited! We haven't been home for a visit since Christmas so it is going to be nice to leave Nevada for a few days! And I will be coming back with another CAR finally!!! No more being stuck in the house or having to walk Isabel to school in the freezing weather! Woohoo!
I haven't done much knitting or sewing lately, being sick has set me back! But I did get the Owlet sweater by Kate Davies done for Isabel and it turned out amazing!
Isabel has picked up knitting and we have been working on it together, her with her hot pink scarf and me with my newest project. Her ability to knit is really amazing and she no longer requires my help! Takes after her mom :) I am so proud of her!
So my newest project is a pair of pretty ballerina socks for Isabel out of the book Knitted Sock Sensations
I went down a needle size to make the socks a little smaller to fit her little footsies!
Can't wait to get them done for her!
I also cut out a big amount of cloth diaper covers so I can get those finished up before the baby arrives....
I still have all my prefolds to get sewn. I really need to get going on them!
Well my husband just got home so time for me to sign off of here! :)

Waiting for Spring!

It has been a really long time since I have blogged, this pregnancy has me in a constant state of exhaustion and most days I spend on the couch knitting away and watching Netflix. On that note I have to say how grateful I am for my husband to work so hard for us so I can stay home comfortably. I am so very grateful for everything life has given us so far this year and we are happier than I think we have ever been. Life is easy and I feel so lucky for that!
I have gotten many crafty things completed lately, too many to list them all but here are a few things...
I finally finished this sweater for my lovely husband but it came out a little short which frustrated me to the max! I even knitted it longer than the pattern called for....Oh well it is nice in spite of that!
A little booby hat I made for the baby just today, turned out sooo cute!

Here is another little hat for the new little one (when she FINALLY arrives :)) modeled by Isabel's baby! I absolutely LOVE this hat too.
Here is a little sweater dress I made for Isabel with some yarn she picked out awhile ago, she is also wearing a hair clip she made all by herself :)
These are just a few of the things I have gotten knitted....As far as sewing goes I haven't completed too much other than cloth diapers and....

Up close of the girls...

A little quilt I made inspired by the old children's book called My Sister and I. I love how it turned out...Isabel says it is her by herself and then with Charlee and then with her new sister which I thought was a cute observation from her. Her intelligence surprises me all the time!
I also made Isabel a little Valentine's Day skirt to wear to school....
She was super excited to wear it and made her Valentine's box for school with the same fabric so she could match! She is such a clever girl!
My next project which I am starting tonight is the Kate Davies' Owlet sweater for Isabel in some beautiful Cascade 128 Superwash that I bought recently on Ravelry. Isabel picked the color...
And I must say she has great taste! The yarn it sooo soft and the color is amazing! Now I just have to wind it and what a pain in the neck without a yarn winder! I have to put two chairs together and wind it on my thumb. So far I have gotten one ball wound and it took me forever as I got it into a giant knot somehow when it slipped off the chairs! UGH!
I have recently become obsessed with ordering stuff online since I live in the middle of nowhere and hardly ever get to go anywhere...I ordered some yarn from KnitPicks for my booby hat and was really happy with the quality, it was so soft! I also ordered this book...
Full of fun stuff! I am planning on knitting the little baby doll in it and the Russian nesting dolls for sure! I really love this book! I need to put in another order for the yarn for the baby doll :)
Well I need to go rescue my poor dog from Isabel's love...hehe.
:)
